Water has brought about the development of Inverclyde, from its small beginnings as a collection of small fishing communities, to an industrial force of Great Britain; and now as an export capital, welcoming tourists from the many cruise liners which visit.

This book documents the progression, through shared stories and memories from across Inverclyde’s rich and varied history, which has always been connected to the river.
